Excel Neurosurgery & Spine offers an Advanced Endoscopic Spine Surgery Fellowship for surgeons seeking hands-on, high-volume training in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine techniques. Our program is built around direct mentorship, real surgical case exposure, and a curriculum designed to prepare fellows for independent, advanced endoscopic practice.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Fellows train alongside our surgical team across the full spectrum of endoscopic spine care — from initial patient evaluation through surgical planning, technique, and postoperative management. The program emphasizes:

  • Hands-on experience with advanced endoscopic spine procedures, including uniportal and biportal (UBE) techniques
  • Direct mentorship from our neurosurgery and orthopedic spine faculty
  • High-volume surgical exposure, with an anticipated 300–400+ cases annually
  • Progressive, hands-on operative responsibility as clinical and technical competency is demonstrated
  • Exposure to high-efficiency ambulatory surgery center (ASC) models and the operational side of modern outpatient spine practice

  • Duration: 12 Months (August 1, 2027 – July 31, 2028)
  • Location: Honolulu, HI
  • Eligibility: Must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurological Surgery and be eligible for a Hawaii medical license.
  • Compensation: Competitive PGY-level 6 salary, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and full benefits.
